Agree or disagree; many of us think that children and teenagers have the most innocent personality. After reading an article sent from my anthropology professor titled “The kids aren't all right,” my perspective of children and teenagers today is a bit unclear. This article talked about how children can get depressed at a young age of 8 or less. For the most part, I’ve always thought children do not go through much pain or are unhappy with their self. It also described how at a child’s young age of the depressed event or stage gets affected more when they enter high school. Why is that??
I remember my high school days being fun; not having to worry about being in a wrong clique or getting into trouble with drugs. But now, our world, our society makes it easier to get children, teenagers, and young adults into having drugs in their life- abusing themselves. It’s awful to see how our society has been becoming corrupted in ways that a child’s innocence is no longer there. Saying bad words at a young age was bad enough I thought. But for a child being brought up in a depressed state upsets me.
