Our midterm is due today. And I stressed out a lot on it. Although, reading those books were very entertaining and it had so much meaning to many of us in the world. The first book is Ishmael written by Daniel Quinn had brought out thoughts in my head about the bible and how within it talks about life lessons along with advices. And with these mythical concepts that the Gorilla and the narrator were talking about tells us humans that life goes back to God because he created us all. The second book is entitled Eat Here: Homegrown Pleasures in a Global Supermarket written Brian Halweil. This book talked about how our society should look into how and where their food, vegetables, and meats come from. The author is pushing societies, our whole world to look into getting foods from our ‘local farms’ rather than in our supermarkets.
All in all, I think I constructed my midterm paper very well and I hope that I’ve gotten a good grade on it because I’ve worked really hard and excelled myself to get a good grade :]]]. With out guest speaker Ramsey, I thought was very interesting. He talked about connecting yourself back to nature. He gave us a talk about ‘Messages in Water’ which was cool. It made me think about how it could also lean towards what God wants you to know or what he’s telling you with water imprints and so forth which is weird but at the same time it could be another way as to reconnecting yourself in a good way. Anywho, I’ll be back soon for more postings about my experiences in my Anthropology class.
Always,
May
